Inspired by images from molecular biology, the shapes and structures in these drawings are reminiscent of viruses, bacteria or even organic tissues inside our bodies. Electron microscope images show us an alien world, that can be quite irritating. Through the process of drawing the inherent beauty of these structures is heightened and the alienating feelings are reduced. The depicted elements and shapes are of unknown scale and substance.
