In 2014, Barbara Bux began the chalk wall drawings of the cycle “About growing and fading” (“Vom Werden und Vergehen”). Five wall-filling “panels” were created, each of which was conceptually assigned to a season, as well as an overarching panel. The wall drawings were produced on site and focused on time and transience, the chalk drawings being ephemeral in terms of both content and realization.
They showed growth and decay, the appreciation of food and the methods used to obtain it. Every plant contains a value. The microstructures reveal forms very similar to those in the human body.
